I have a feeling that those won't last long on a TVR.

Nah, the engine will probably blow up before the wheels go. TVR engineered this.

Nothing lasts long on a TVR, that's the point of a TVR.

All you post about now are Rotas, UEL headers, and the FRS! I guess there's nothing wrong there. Just saying.

TVR motors are fine, it's the rest of the car that will fall apart.

I have been arguing with people over on the forums about the wheels, so of course some of it may flow over.

Also I did post about Time Attack!!!

Gah!! 7 spokes hurt my eyes! Although the 57dr is pretty sexy. . . even if it is a bit heavy.

Personally I'm fine with anything under ten spokes. My favorite aftermarket wheels vary from car to car but I just like the look of these. Are these heavier than the stock wheels on your FR-S though?

I think so. The 57dr are lighter but in wider sizes they are heavier. In 17x9, they are 0.2lbs heavier than stock. Weds on the other hand are 15.8lbs! 6lbs lighter than stock!

I'll take a TVR on anything. I'll take Steelies even. Or Dubs or spinners.

If you want to get Rotas, get them. You know the risk involved, if/when they break you shouldn't be surprised. Just check the torque on your lugs fairly often and make sure you do a thorough inspection of them if you don't run a staggered setup and rotate the tires. If you track or auto-x with really sticky tires and a stiff suspension I would be a little wary of them as that induces a fuckton of stress on the wheel and I don't think I would trust a Rota wheel on a track car.

I might go with Enkei, granted the wheels I want come in a 45mm offset, which will rub, but I can run a 2 or 3mm spacer and be fine. Plus the wheels are like a grand.

I have been going insane!! First it was Gram Lights, then Work, then Enkei, then Gram Lights again, then Weds, then Enkei, then Rotas, and no I am back to Enkei. I JUST CAN'T DECIDE!

Aint nothing wrong with a little bit of spacer, as long as you still have enough stud left to engage the threads on the nuts you'll be fine.

Oh yeah and those too. Totally should be around 50 bucks for it, so add that ontop of the wheels. I have quiet trying to find a cheap, light wheel cause it is impossible. Hopefully when these come out they will be awesome. I shall be waiting for a group buy. 19.8lbs for 17x9.

RPF1 covers all grounds but I think they look kind of fugly, which is why I don't want them. Yes I know, shallow.

No worries, you don't have to defend yourself about your distaste of RPF1s. I'm not really fond of them so meh. It is your car and you are the one who has to drive it and look at it so do what you want to it, just please don't stance it. . . I will lose respect if you start putting fatlace stickers all over it and pretty much ruin your car just to go look cool in a parking lot that you can barely get into. . .

What do I want? If Wedssport offered a black tc105n I would be on that so hard. I really want Gram Lights 57xtremes. If I was hella loaded Volk CE28n. As of right now. Enkei TSP6, whenever they come out. Cause cheap and reliable.

Legacy snowflakes laugh at your 10 spokes. unless you were to count it as 2 pairs of 9

I may be ricey as hell thinking about getting Rotas, but I am not THAT ricey. You can either look good or go fast. But as someone from Roadkill once said "going fast IS looking good."

I think the weight of the wheel won't matter too much, but the rubber I put on it will be much more important.

That looks similar to the OZ Superleggera but with tougher looking spokes. How much are those?

They should be enkei prices. So around 250 to 270 per wheel, or about a grand for a set of 4.

I was thinking more along the lines of Gram Lights 57xtremes.

You will notice a difference when you go to the track and need that extra response that those 4 lbs give you in the wheel department. But DDing the weight being less than the stock package really isn't super critical, as long as you don't go over the stock weight by too much you will gain more in grip than you lose in responsiveness of a light wheel.

Bottom line is, get a wheel you think looks good and meets your needs out a wheel. You have to be happy with the way the car looks in the end run.

I am not a track fiend just yet. I will definitely try and make it out to one track day this year, but I will mostly be autocrossing and "canyon" carving along with DD.

And this twin 5 spoke design seems to fit these cars very well.

They look like a chunkier 6UL. They aren't a bad looking wheel, just keep them coated with some wheel protectant so your brake dust doesn't start to fuck the finish up on them unless you don't really care.

I would like to point out that I can infact count, and just typed 5 spoke in on accident(no I didn't).

In any case, I will be keeping these for a long time, so I do want to protect them.

I also thought they looked like 57xtremes.

Was looking for some black, deep offset, machined lip, web-spoked rims, but these popped up... I'd definitely do these.
